Sat 18 Mar: Depeche Mode - Spirit Unofficial Release Party

February 28, 2017 admin
Shai-Depeche-Mode-party-18.3.17.jpg

Probably the most famous synthpop band from the '80s are releasing their 14th album Spirit, so we're going to have a party!-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Every one of their 13 studio albums charted in the Top 10, and every album (except the last one) had a Top 40 hit single (or two, and a few even  had 4 hit singles).

So we're going to have our own DM party with all our favourite tunes from 1981 till now! We're going to play a few songs from the new album and all our favorite songs from the other albums - and like every good dish we'll spice it up with some great '80s, New Wave & Synthpop classics. Expect to hear: Lots of Depeche Mode, The Smiths & Moz, Siouxsie And The Banshees, David Bowie, The Cure, Human League, Pulp, New Order and more...

Come early to have more fun!!

Advance Tickets are £5 http://bit.ly/DM17VFD £8 on the door

Doors open at 10pm

Hope to see you dance with us and don't forget to like our page: https://www.facebook.com/80sparties

Fri 17 Feb: Towards Collapse

December 22, 2016 admin
Towards-Collapse-.jpg

Towards Collapse returns to new home, VFD, on 17th February 2017 for the third instalment of our club night series. Your collateralized debt obligations this month will be:

SWARM INTELLIGENCE (Invisible Agent, Stasis, Acroplane, Acre, Ad Noiseam, Voitax Records) Swarm Intelligence is quickly building up a name for habitually reducing darkened basements to ruins. Blending ambient, rhythmic noise and industrial sounds with broken rhythms, he has captured the attention of techno and noise fiends alike. From droned-out ambience and densely layered field recordings, right through to distorted beats and industrial-edged basslines, Swarm Intelligence has honed his sound over releases on Invisible Agent, Stasis, Acroplane, Acre, Ad Noiseam, and most recently Voitax Records, where he just released his latest 12" called “The Lighthouse”. His live set is a fearsome mix of clattering drums, snarling, abrasive distortion and dissonant textures and has seen him perform at a wide variety of events - from the infamous Maschinenfest to Boiler Room.

DEADFADER (3by3, Small But Hard Records, Robotic Elephant) As Dead Fader, UK-born, Berlin-based John Cohen draws on ambient, noise and techno to create panoramic and hard-hitting electronic music which packs an emotional punch.
